Sweet Crisis

“The missing link between Free and The Black Keys, This is the sound of Sweet Crisis.”

Paul Elliott, CLASSIC ROCK & MOJO Magazine

The sound of Sweet Crisis is nearly impossible to describe in one paragraph. Their influences range from Free, Lenny Kravitz and Marvin Gaye, to Gary Clark Jr and The Black Keys. It could be argued that their sound and musical manifestation is the triumphant love child of them all.

They released their debut album Tricks On My Mind in August 2021 to great critical acclaim. It was recorded and mixed at Headline Music Studios in Cambridge, mastered at Abbey Road Studios and released by Headline Records Ltd.

The classic sound of iconic 70’s artists combines with contemporary pioneers to shape and inform this modern rock band. Their album celebrates modern and classic vibes, incorporating just the right amount of funk, soul and pop along the way.

Since the release of the album, Sweet Crisis have been touring throughout the UK with huge success, supporting major artists including Skunk Anansie, FM, and Laurence Jones in addition to their own headline UK tour.

With a second album in the pipeline and single releases in early 2023, this is definitely a band to keep your eye on!

“A stylishly accomplished debut of great depth and quality"

CLASSIC ROCK MAGAZINE  8/10

"It's an astonishing assured debut…. stadium-size sounds that crackles with infectious energy"

SHINDIG MAGAZINE ****

“...brilliantly constructed tunes tugging at the soul of Free and the widescreen imperial strut of Zep. It’s a joy to hear.”

ROCK CANDY MAGAZINE

“In short, Tricks On My Mind’ deserves to give Sweet Crisis the same level of attention as Greta Van Zeppelin, sorry, Fleet – and then some”

FABRICATIONS HQ

“Soulful, rocking, mesmerising, groove laden and to put it simply, one of the best albums you’ll hear this year. Stunning”

POWERPLAY MAGAZINE 10/10

BAD LUCK FRIDAY is an exciting new hard rock band from Brighton, England. Formed in 2020, the band consists of Will Wilde (lead vocals, harmonica), Steve Brook (guitar, backing vocals), Jack Turnbull (bass) and Alan Taylor (drums).

Fronted by singer and award winning harmonica player, Will Wilde, their unique sound draws from an eclectic mix of influences, from classic rock bands such as Whitesnake and Led Zeppelin through to more aggressive contemporary bands like Black Stone Cherry, Audioslave and Alter Bridge.

Bad Luck Friday’s debut album was released on 2nd September 2022 and is a blend of hard rock riffs, blues-infused melodies, big choruses and face-melting harmonica solos.

Bad Luck Friday could almost be an Alter Bridge substitute were it not for their USP: the roaring blues harp work of leader Will Wilde”

Classic Rock Magazine

"A phenomenal release... moments of sheer innovation... aggressive blues rock with a contemporary edge" 10/10

Power Play

“British Rock is never short of a quality new band to make you press the ‘next big thing’ button. But on the basis of this resonating debut album, Bad Luck Friday sound a cut above the rest.”
